TO LET GO AND TO LET GOD. . .

Call me sentimental, call me dramatic, but every time I feel frustrated or every time I find myself at the heights of my strong emotion, either positive or negative, I just put everything into writing or drawing, poetry or arts. My two sides or personalities rather, manifest differently or uniquely when I speak and when I write.
When I speak, I let my strong and joyful side be expressed in full. But when I write the unexpressed soft and emotional side of me comes up.
The people whom I have personal encounter with will describe me as intimidating or domineering. Those who knew me better will find me cheerful and easy to please with.
But only few knew me as the emotional person that I am. How did they know it? They knew it through my writings. Now as I publish most of it, I expect more people will discover my other side. And these two poems which I will share with you will somehow reveal it. These poems were written with this central message: Let go and let God.

REMINISCENCE
Where art thou?
Out in the midst of this dusty old memory
Crawling inside the innermost part of this deep sensibility
Where dreams don’t fade
Where blind expectations are perfectly made

Where art thou?
In the farthest part of unforgotten past
Walking slowly behind time that run so fast
Where tearful shadows of imagination transcends
And outmost reality constantly descends

Where art thou?
The mind can’t see but the heart perceive
So long it needs freedom to achieve
That remembrance of emotions may strongly resist
And let the pain cease to exist

SECRET LOVE
A heart so heavy, wounded, broken
Crying endlessly, hiding remorse and melancholy
A mind in despair, thoughts unspoken
Thinking deeply, seeking answers, finding light to folly

Then eyes lay upon a gentle soul
On one miraculous night, where stars shine, sparkle, twinkle
Comforting, refreshing breeze is cool
Surprisingly an angel cause emotion to rumble

Joy replaces the pain, the longing
But fear of hurting hinders the growing fondness within
Confuse of what this feeling might bring
Heart surrendered to God asking guidance if it’s a win

This presence blows the sadness away
Yet unable to express, thinking love should be restrained
Having no right to confess and say
The choice is to hide, to God everything was decided

Love and be loved in return is sweet
Uncertainties should not be ruled out by expectations
Truth should not be covered by heart beat
Pray for assurance and depend not on mere assumptions

In God’s time, secret will be revealed
Might be a yes, might be a no, waiting should be the goal
When God answers, all doubts will be sealed
To trust God, lay it all to Him, allow Him to control

I’m not a gifted poet or writer like the others, but this is me and this is my expression. Do you want to know the story behind these poems? Then learn to read between the lines. . .
